River City Regulators is a SASS-affiliated cowboy action shooting club. We shoot a variety of cowboy action stages, occasionally adding Wild Bunch category (1911 pistol with 2 to 5 7-round magazines in place of single action pistols). Tom Horn category (rifle caliber single shot or repeating rifle engaging longer range targets in place of pistol caliber rifle), pocket pistol stage with SASS-legal pocket pistols, and perhaps other callenging categories. Each month, we shoot an Annual Stage that was chosen by shooters in December. The awards for 1st, 10th, and 20th places are presented at our December Annual Lunch. (A shooter must shoot the stage at least 3 times in order to be eligible for the award.)
We shoot the first Sunday of every month at the Yolo Sportsmen's Association Action Pistol/Specialty range. Seup begins about 7:30am the morning of the match, registration starts at 8:30am, and match begins at 9:00am, if stages are set. New or inexperienced shooters are strongly encouraged to participate in a new shooter safety orientation that is held with advanced notice before each match. Please make prior arrangements with Noah Hair or Mortimer Pestle.
